Total Cost

The total cost of tuition for your online General Studies Undergraduate Certificate covers the cost of your studies and any digital textbooks and study materials included in your program.²

The difference between the payment options is the dollar amount the credit will cost you for selecting a monthly payment plan versus paying in full.

General Studies Undergraduate Certificate Enrollment Requirements

• Age - 17
• Education - High School Diploma or GED
• Technology Requirements - You will need access to high-speed internet to begin your program. In addition, you will need access to a Microsoft^® Windows^® based computer running Windows 10^® or later or an Apple^® Mac^® computer running macOS^® Sierra Version 11.2 or later, Microsoft^® Office 2019 or Microsoft 365^® and an email account to complete this program with Penn Foster. A smart phone or tablet device can also be used in addition to a computer, provided the device(s) can connect to the internet.

• Skills Assessments - Students must successfully pass a skills assessment in basic math and reading to access their college courses.

Transfer Credits

To have previous courses considered for transferability, contact the college you attended and request for your official transcript(s) to be sent to Penn Foster College for evaluation.

• Minimum grade of "C" required for transfer credit.
•  Approved transfer credits will be deducted from your tuition.

Refund Policy

At Penn Foster, we continue to develop new ways to expand and improve student satisfaction. However, if the General Studies Undergraduate Certificate isn't right for you or you're not satisfied with your program, we do offer a refund policy. If you cancel within the first 6 days of enrollment you will receive a full refund. After the first 6 days your refund amount will be based on:

• Lessons completed
• Tuition collected
• Enrollment date
