College Grading System
Penn Foster uses a number-letter system of grading, with number grades being assigned to examinations and letter grades to completed courses. The letter grade for each course is calculated by counting the average of the lesson examination grades as two-thirds of the course grade and the proctored examination grade (where applicable) as one-third. Letter grades are converted to grade points for the purpose of computing the Grade Point Average (GPA) for each semester and the cumulative Grade Point Average for more than one semester. Grade points range from 4.0 for an A grade to 0.0 for an F grade.
