Mariam Dawoud
Mariam has been assisting Penn Foster students in their math studies since October of 2015. Mariam’s job revolves around making learning attainable to our students. She has been helping students through all our communication channels such as instructional phone calls, chat, and email. Mariam has been creating meaningful and useful learning resources to go with our math courses, including short videos and guided notes, to accommodate various types of learners. Mariam has a heart for teaching, especially for helping others discover their strengths when it comes to learning math. She believes that education is a pillar to pursuing success and empowerment.
Mariam earned a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Dalhousie University. Her passion to teach led her to change her career and earn her Pennsylvania Teaching Certificate to teach math, grades 7 to 12. She has also earned her Master’s degree in Urban Education from Alvernia University. Mariam taught briefly in the public school system before becoming an online instructor.
