Beginning his journey as an instructor, Brian quickly distinguished himself through his commitment to student success and academic excellence, leading him to roles including supervisor, principal, and his current position as Academic Manager.

Brian returned to education at the age of 36, achieving his bachelor's degree at 40 and later completing his master's degree in American history from American Military University. This personal educational journey uniquely positions him to understand and advocate for students from diverse backgrounds, particularly those embarking on their educational paths later in life.

 

At Penn Foster, Brian has been pivotal in developing and refining courses, ensuring they are not only academically rigorous but also practically applicable. His approach to education is hands-on and student-centered, focusing on building confidence and competence in students. He played a key role in introducing innovative teaching methods, such as short, engaging video lessons in math, and implementing tools like read-speaker technology to aid students with reading challenges.
